Rioters: They’re not big, and they’re certainly not clever.

Being British can be embarrassing at the best of times but this week has taken it to a whole new level. For no real reason a bunch of morons have decided to riot across England, looting and leaving a path of destruction in their wake.

All of this started when a man possessing a gun in London was shot by police. During a peaceful protest from that man’s family on the streets where he died, some thugs hijacked it and started rioting. It spread, not just across London, but across England, with riots being started in Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Gloucester amongst others.

These people are nothing more than scum. The lowest form of life I’d say. They’re an embarrassment not just to our nation but to our species. Perhaps we’re evolving further and these cretins are the new Neanderthals. One way or another we need to make them extinct. Our society has no place for them.

Why the hell are they doing it though? I’ve heard a barrage of the most pathetic excuses over the past few days. Several point to the death of the man in London, but I don’t believe that. These people are just opportunistic criminals hell-bent on causing as much damage as possible.

I’ve heard some of them saying they’re doing this because of the government’s cutbacks. They feel things like Sure Start being cut and university fees increasing leaves them with no opportunities. Yes, apparently they’re doing this because they haven’t got their fortnightly EMA credited to their accounts.

Pathetic isn’t it, apparently life in Britain is very hard for them. Aww is it too hard for you? Man up! If you want something you have to work hard to get it! There’s no free ticket into a good job or the possession of nice things. The mentality of these looters is simply this: I don’t want to work hard for things, so instead I’ll steal from those who do.

Compared to other generations, people in this country have it ridiculously easy. During the 1940s people hardly had any food to feed their families, were being bombed every single night while ordinary men served this country with pride so that future generations in Britain could live in freedom. Here in 2011 people are taking liberties.

Has Britain slipped down the slope so much that we have people rioting because ‘life is tough’? Seventy years on from World War II and the young people of this nation have gone from fighting a war against tyranny to setting fire to Miss Selfridge. It’s enough to make you cry.

Over in Somalia, people can’t string four grains of rice together; in the Arab world young people are rising up against their dictatorship governments with the ambition of achieving a democracy; in Britain they’re stealing from Carpet Right. It’s an absolute embarrassment.

Compared to the rest of the world, life in Britain is not tough. Don’t get me wrong these cuts are bad and they are hurting families across the whole country but when you compare that to some Japanese families being left homeless by the devastating earthquakes and tsunamis, or the soldiers laying down their lives in Afghanistan, all of a sudden it doesn’t seem so hard does it? People in North Korea don’t even have human rights for crying out loud! Here in England you can get money for lying in bed all day!

Conditions in this country are as good as anywhere in the world, contrary to popular belief, state benefits in this country are very generous compared to other nations. We have people living in this country who are nothing more than parasites. A protozoan pathogen attaching itself to our society and just leeching it for all it’s worth. State benefits should be there for those who deserve them, not for those who can’t be bothered working or who have children periodically every seven years so they can receive an extra batch of handouts and not have to go and do a day’s work.

Why?

The reasons for this unrest have to be explored. The main problem is the parenting, whether it be parents not knowing where their rioting kids are or the ones who are actually rioting with them. We just don’t seem to have the values in parenting that we had in yesteryear. My parents brought me up to work hard for the things I want, to respect people and the law. Somehow I can’t imagine me and my dad popping down the shops for a good old fashioned loot.

Prime Minister David Cameron has said that the rioters show “a complete lack of responsibility, a lack of proper parenting, a lack of proper upbringing, a lack of proper ethics, and a lack of proper morals.” He’s right, but he’s scratching his head just as much as everyone else as to why it’s happened.

Claiming these events are only occurring because the Conservatives are in power is a little bit naïve and attempting to score political points using the riots is unhelpful. Ken Livingstone has been as opportunistic as the rioters themselves with his constant appearances on news networks criticising the policing policy in London. The irony is of course that police numbers in London have actually increased since Boris Johnson succeeded Livingstone.

Ed Miliband was in Manchester the day after the riots kicked off there to meet with the brilliant volunteers who were cleaning up their community. He did really well in my opinion. He didn’t take the opportunity to have a pop at Cameron’s government, instead he said the same things he did, condemning the violence and saying that the complex reasons behind these riots must be explored.

It’s a shame I can’t say the same for Labour MP Graham Stringer who chose the day after to come to Manchester and criticise the police, claiming more people should have been arrested and that it was organised crime done by gangsters. I’ve no idea where his evidence is for any of the claims he made, thank goodness nobody listened to him and forgot who he was once Ed Miliband arrived.

I’m not a fan of slating the police during these times and it annoys me when people do, especially when they’re politicians. If they don’t have the numbers then they can only do so much. Criticising the cutbacks on public funding is fair enough, but don’t go slamming the actual police force as they try their very best to tackle these imbeciles. They’re only human, which is more than I can say for the rioters. They need our support during these riots, having a go at them helps nobody.

The next step.

Whatever the reasons are for this madness we need to tackle this problem now. Police numbers have been beefed up and arrests are on the up. Police dogs are being used and there are talks of water cannons being employed for the first time ever in England as well. Rubber bullets and even the army have also been mentioned as possible options though Theresa May says they are the last resort. After the first two nights I don’t know why rubber bullets aren’t being used to be honest. One shot from one of them and they’ll soon stop it. They’re lucky they’re in Britain. There are some places in the world that’d be using real bullets from day one.

Finding the rioters shouldn’t be too difficult considering they’re about as intelligent as a chimp. Actually that’s a bit harsh. If the Green Goblin grabbed a rioter and a chimp, held them above a bridge and dropped them both at the same time meaning I could only save one, I’m afraid the chimp would live on the basis that they are the more intelligent being.

Most of them had their faces in plain view as they rioted and looted, some even bragged about it on Twitter. I think it’s fair to say these people are clinically classed as retarded. Anyone with an IQ of 1 wouldn’t even do that. Did they even go to school once?

Once they are found they need to be punished for this. Councils across England have said they will be evicting tenants who are involved in the rioting, Manchester are going one step further saying if your child is involved then you’ll be packing your bags. I applaud this. Now we just need a real sentence in prison for them and we’ll be getting somewhere.

Unfortunately, a lot of the rioters are under 18, meaning they probably won’t end up in jail where they belong. There needs to be a real punishment devised for these people. We need to get tough on them, slapped wrists won’t cut it. The courts are going to be very busy over the coming weeks, and the prisons will be packed out! Maybe we can get all the looters to build their own prison. Food for thought.

These people want something for nothing. They seem to feel like the country owes them something. All of this damage will need paying for, and who do you think will do that? The taxpayers. The same people who pay these morons their state welfare. I’ve no doubt though, that the rioters will keep getting their accounts topped up every fortnight. They should have their benefits cut until they’ve paid for the damage because I think taxpayers are getting a little tired of footing the bill to be honest.

Either that or we drag them all the way to the North Sea, throw them in and yell: “You’re barred!”
